The Drug Free Youth in Detroit Coalition is a community-based initiative under the Black Caucus Foundation of Michigan dedicated to preventing youth alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use through education, awareness, and community engagement. The coalition brings together representatives from diverse sectors
and community members to create safer, healthier environments for Detroit's young people. We continue to seek passionate individuals and organizations to build capacity by joining our team and help strengthen prevention efforts across the city. Members collaborate to increase community awareness, share resources, support evidence based prevention strategies, and advocate for positive youth development. Advisory Board Members meet virtually on the third Wednesday of each month to provide guidance, share expertise, and support coalition initiatives aimed at reducing substance use among youth and promoting healthy, drug-free lifestyles. Together, we can empower Detroit's youth to make healthy choices and build a stronger, drug-free future for our community.
The Black Caucus Foundation of Michigan (BCFM) is a non-partisan, nonprofit organization dedicated to research-driven public policy, leadership development, and community initiatives that improve quality of life for underserved and vulnerable populations across Michigan.
